PROPRIO ‘SMART’ FOOT PROSTHESIS
Automatic terrain adaptation on level-ground, ramps, and stairs. PROPRIO FOOT automatically adjusts the ankle angle to changing terrain, providing stable foot placement on stairs and inclined surfaces.

Development of free kinetics and kinematics for stair climbing and descending.
1) The development of free kinetics and kinematics for stair climbing up and down allows the user to be extremely relaxed on the amputee side. Conventional feet cannot be adjusted for special situations such as climbing stairs and descending. Therefore, the amputee must compensate for this situation with their body. PROPRIO FOOT adapts to these situations and provides a more natural walking style by reducing the patient’s compensation with this body.
Increased dorsiflexion during ramps results in a more physiological gait pattern.
2) The PROPRIO FOOT adapted mode provides more physiological kinetics and kinematics during the ramps with the amputated knee (transtibial) thanks to active dorsiflexion. In this adapted mode, below-knee amputees reported that they felt safer during the ramps.
Thanks to the adaptation of PROPRIO FOOT to the ramps, it was revealed that the users exhibit a more natural walking style with less body compensation and users reported that they felt safer.
Less energy consumption with PROPRIO FOOT.
3) Although PROPRIO FOOT is heavier than dynamic carbon fiber feet, it significantly reduces the energy consumed by below-knee amputees while walking. In K3 activity levels, perceived mobility or walking ability has improved but did not reach significant levels due to high P0 levels.
Although PROPRIO FOOT is heavier, users can perform their activities with less energy than standard mechanical feet.
Users of PROPRIO FOOT felt less discomfort in the socket on uneven surfaces.
4) By adapting the angle of the prosthesis to the stairs and ramps, the pressure data has reached to the point close to walking on flat ground. Users felt less of the discomfort caused by the unbalanced floor in the socket.
Thanks to the feature of PROPRIO FOOT adapting to uneven ground, the socket pressure on the socket decreases. This increases the feeling of comfort as well as the protection of the residual limb
Features
Intelligent surface adaptation for a safe transition.
Unique stability, efficiency, and comfort on landings, slopes, and stairs.
The highest level of compliance on the ground.
PROPRIO FOOT automatically detects slopes/landings and adapts properly to provide a more symmetrical, robust movement. The user also senses this situation when he goes up or downstairs and adapts the alignment for a safer response. The resulting anatomically correct responses are designed to support a more balanced gait. This increases stability and confidence in users, while also helping to relieve the load on the knees, hips, and back.
EASY, SAFE MOVEMENT
Motor-powered ankle motion increases toe clearance in the swing phase by raising the forefoot, reducing the risk of trips and falls. It also adjusts the ankle angle to changing terrain, providing stable foot placement on stairs and inclined surfaces.
Safety advantages:
•Motorized ankle movement reduces the risk of falling
•Higher security and walking quality
•Less strain on knees, hips, and back
Automatic dorsiflexion of PROPRIO FOOT during the swinging phase helps the prosthesis to pass through the floor, paving stones, and other surface irregularities actively and safely. NATURAL ACTS
PROPRIO FOOT acts naturally, increasing the self-confidence of the user. As it can adapt to different shoes, it protects the symmetry and prosthesis, while at the same time it allows the shoes to be changed. It automatically flattens to the floor when the user is sitting and provides a more stable and natural look.
Natural advantages:
•Soft walking experience on flat ground
•Maintains symmetry and adjustment when changing shoes
•Stand-up mode and comfortable mode
Thanks to the way PROPRIO FOOT functions, a more symmetrical alignment is achieved, resulting in a noticeably more natural physiological gait. The foot adapts quickly and easily to many shoes. Optimum alignment is always maintained and foot movement is more natural and comfortable than before. The foot also allows the ‘big toe’ (hallux) downward to provide a more normal look when the user is seated. The patented EVO ™ feature (Energy Vector Optimization) makes the transfer of ground reaction forces more effective, providing a smooth transition movement, thereby helping to improve ground compatibility and ankle control.
